I've never been too obsessed about weight, but more and more people are coming into the shop asking how much this weighs and how much that weighs. I've even had one guy bring in his own scales to weigh stuff in the shop... so it was about time we got a pair of our own scales!

A quick shopping trip to John Lewis, and I come back with wallet being £39 lighter and a nice shiny set of Salter electronic kitchen scales. On the box it says "precision strain-gauge weight sensing system", so I guess they must be pretty accurate?

Armed with my new toy, I set about the shop weighing all kinds of stuff. Pretty surprising how some of the manufacturer's published weights are so wrong! From now on, any weights we publish on this site will be our own weights, measured from our new scales!
